Răzvan Florescu
is a vibraphonist and composer with a rich academic and artistic background. A graduate of the National University of Music Bucharest, he has studied both jazz and classical percussion.
His career spans collaborations with renowned ensembles, orchestras, and prestigious festivals across Romania and Europe.
As a band leader, Răzvan continues to innovate and inspire through his work with the Răzvan Florescu Quartet.
About the project
Răzvan Florescu Quartet is a contemporary jazz group performing original music rooted in jazz, with influences from world music, classical traditions, and subtle electronic elements. The quartet has a strong emphasis on group interplay and a cohesive, exploratory sound.
Formed in 2024, the group was awarded First Prize at the Jazzbook Grant and has performed at JazzAhead (Germany), Gărâna Jazz Festival, Jazz in the Park Competition, Jazz at Bran Castle, and other festivals across Romania.
